The Royal Wedding

yep like most of the world I couldn't resist talking about the Royal Wedding, I only wish that I had put bets down on who Kate Middleton's dress designer was going to be!

Head designer of Alexander McQueen, Sarah Burton is responsible for Kate Middleton's gorgeous wedding dress.

On first glance Kate's dress appears to made of Silk Gazar with a sweet heart neckline. Burton has displayed her technical skill by pairing the simple a-line gown with a Chantilly lace capulet over the shoulders which dips into a v shape neckline. The lace is continued on the hemline of the dress and appears to be pressed perfectly into the silk. The train of the gown is merely two metres long, much easier to manage than that of Princess Dianna's in 1981. The dress is somewhat reminiscent of the gown worn by Grace Kelly at her wedding...

Kate finished her bridal outfit with the 1936 scroll tiara worn by the Queen Mother and a fine, short veil.

I have done my best and scoured for as many wedding pictures as possible for you all! So enjoy!

And some of Kate's style on the lead up to her wedding...
